What is the difference between polyester cotton and cotton polyester?

What are the structural characteristics of polyester/cotton fabric and cotton/polyester fabric?
Although "polyester cotton" and "cotton polyester" are two different fabrics, they are essentially the same. They are both blended or interwoven fabrics of polyester and cotton yarn. Blended polyester/cotton fabric refers to that the composition of polyester accounts for more than 60% and that of cotton accounts for less than 40%, also known as TC; On the contrary, blended cotton/polyester fabric means that the composition of cotton is more than 60% and that of polyester is less than 40%, also known as CVC. Interwoven polyester/cotton fabric refers to the interwoven warp polyester and weft cotton yarn; Interwoven cotton/polyester fabric refers to the interweaving of warp cotton yarn and weft polyester.
Features of polyester/cotton fabric: blended polyester/cotton fabric not only highlights the style of polyester but also has the advantages of cotton fabric. It has good elasticity and wear resistance under dry and wet conditions, stable size, small shrinkage, and has the characteristics of straight, not easy to wrinkle, easy to wash, and fast drying. Do not use hot ironing and boiling water to soak. With the help of the smooth, clean and high strength of warp polyester, the woven polyester fabric has a flat surface, beautiful color and great practicability. Disadvantages of polyester/cotton fabric: polyester fiber in polyester/cotton belongs to hydrophobic fiber, which has a strong affinity for oil and is easy to absorb oil. In addition, it is easy to generate static electricity and absorb dust during wearing, which is difficult to wash, and cannot be ironed and soaked in boiling water at high temperature. Blended polyester/cotton is a mixture of polyester and cotton, which is not as comfortable as cotton. Wearing cotton is not as good as absorbing sweat. Polyester is a large variety of synthetic fiber with high yield. Polyester has many trade names. "Polyester" is the trade name of China. The chemical name is polyethylene terephthalate, which is usually formed by polymerization of chemicals, so the scientific name often carries "poly". Polyester is also called polyester. Structure and performance: the structure is determined by the spinneret hole, and the cross section of conventional polyester is circular without a central cavity. The profiled fiber can be produced by changing the cross section shape of the fiber. Improve brightness and cohesion. The crystallinity and orientation of fiber macromolecules are high, so the fiber strength is high (20 times higher than viscose fiber) and the friction resistance is good. It has good elasticity, good shape retention, light resistance and heat resistance, fast drying and iron-free after washing, and good washability and wearability. Polyester is a chemical fiber, which is not easy to sweat. It feels prickly. It is easy to generate static electricity. It looks bright when tilted.
Characteristics of cotton/polyester fabric: whether blended cotton/polyester fabric or blended cotton/polyester fabric, the cotton content is far greater than the polyester content, the natural performance of cotton is more prominent, and the comfort is also greatly increased, so the grade of blended cotton/polyester fabric (CVC) is higher than that of ordinary polyester/cotton fabric; In addition to the appearance closer to cotton cloth, the woven cotton/polyester fabric can also be designed with polyester stretch silk. It has a variety of styles and functions, and has been widely used in shirts, various windbreaker coats and casual pants.
Blended polyester/cotton fabric is a variety developed in China in the early 1960s. The fiber has the characteristics of crispness, smoothness, quick-drying and wearability, and is deeply loved by consumers. At present, the blending varieties have developed from the original proportion of 65% polyester and 35% cotton to 65:35, 55:45, 50:50, 20:80 and other blended fabrics with different proportions, in order to meet the needs of consumers at different levels. Cotton and polyester fabrics are mostly of the cross fabric category, especially cotton and polyester elastic fabrics, which are widely developed and applied. They are also comfortable to wear after processing such as ready-to-wear washing, and belong to the category of mid-range fabrics. Both polyester/cotton fabrics and cotton/polyester fabrics belong to the traditional textile category. Their growth in China is facing a severe test, with the trend of being replaced by Southeast Asia and India and Pakistan. Therefore, these two types of fabrics need to be upgraded and innovated. Integrating green recycled fibers such as Tencel, Modal and rayon to improve quality and wearability is the common choice and inevitable upgrading direction of polyester and cotton/polyester fabrics.
